Donna-Marie didn't even know she could sing let alone sing opera!

At the tender age of 25 she decided on a whim to have singing lessons and within 6 months she landed her first principal role in an opera.

Since then, she has performed in operas and opera galas as a solo artist and with various companies and societies throughout England and Europe.

Roles performed include Susannah (The Marriage Of Figaro), Witch/Lady In Waiting (Macbeth), Casilda (The Gondoliers), Melissa (Princess Ida) , Countess Ceprano (Rigoletto), Gianetta (The Elixir Of Love), Mabel (Pirates Of Penzance), Aline & Costance (The Sorcerer) and Belinda (Dido & Aeneas).

 

Over the last few years Donna-Marie has performed at many exciting venues and events including: The Bahrain Grand Prix, The American Express Community Stadium Brighton, International Marbella Film Festival, Le Manoir Aux Qautre Saisons-Oxford, Marriott Hotel Group, The Goring Hotel-London, Ocean Village Festival Gibraltar, International Gibraltar Boat Show, Duquesa Castle Spain, El Monasterio De San Martin Spain, West Ham FC, Brighton & Hove Albion FC, the RNLI Proms, Torquay United FC, Exeter Chiefs RC and In 2010 Donna-Marie was shortlisted for the "BBC Radio 2 Dame Kiri Opera Prize".

In April and May 2013 and August 2015 Donna-Marie performed to over 30,000 football fans at the Amex Stadium, Brighton for Brighton & Hove Albion.

Throughout 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 - Donna-Marie performed as a solo classical artist for Thomson Holidays 5* Sensatori Resorts in Tenerife, Crete and Egypt.

Donna-Marie is also Founder of Westcountry Opera Society, member of AOTOS (Association Of The Teachers Of Singing), Peripatetic Singing Seacher at The Tower House Independent School in Paignton, Chamber Choir Director and Peripatetic Singing Teacher for The Maynard Independent Girls School in Exeter, Devon and runs a very busy private singing and piano teaching practice from her studio in Torquay. She is also currently studying for a Trinity AMus and LTCL (Performing) and DipABRSM in Vocal Teaching and attends regular Singing Teaching and Piano Teaching Workshops and courses run by AOTOS and Helen Deakin - a National and International ABRSM Examiner and Diploma Examiner.
