Art classes, art school and workshops are held throughout the year in the home studio (Blue Haze, in Paignton) The Boathouse in Preston, The Mercure Hotel in Paignton or Burgh Island. Emma also guest lectures in schools and colleges and holds workshops for corporations and businesses.
STUDIO WORKSHOPS
LARGE PAINTING WORKSHOP

Enjoy a two day workshop creating a large scale piece for your home office or as a gift.
Emma will guide you through your studio practice and help you create a masterpiece to take home.
Suitable for all adult abilities.

ART RETREAT
REWILDING THE ARTIST DARTMOOR

A two day non residential art retreat led by artist Emma Carter Bromfield at a beautiful secluded private small holding right on Dartmoor (15 mins out from Ashburton , near Poundsgate) .
Situated with traditional Mongolian yurts and an abundance of wild flowers, lakes and ancient forests whilst being 10 minutes wak from Mel Tor one of the most beautiful vistas of Dartmoor, the perfect location to unleash your inner artist, walk, ponder, wander, swim,paint, read, write, sing, wonder and explore in your own way in your own time as we explore our own creativity.
Emma will guide you for as you embark on the start of a 12 week course that is The Artist Way – a book written by Julia Cameron that has been labelled
“as one of the most profound creative journeys you can embark on, even as a professional artist it changed me how I see the world and my place in it as a human and an artist…”
This 2 day transformational workshop will launch you onto The Artist Way, an online group led by Emma will continue to support you through the remaining 12 weeks, culminating in another weekend retreat to celebrate the journey hold you wish to book.
Spaces are limited to 10 places to keep the retreat special private and nourishing.

RETREAT ACCOMMODATION
Accommodation on the land is available in a beautiful bell tent with a woodburner and proper double bed, or a funky converted Mercedes van, all with separate fully equipped kitchens, bathrooms, fire pits and hammocks.

SMALL GROUP WORKSHOPS IN TORBAY
Small groups (max 5), ensure lots of individual attention in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Great for a group of people you know or come along and meet new friends and share tips and ideas whilst Emma demonstrates and gifts 30 years of professional painting experience. Students are of all abilities, from beginner to advanced, especially good for people that want to learn some great techniques, learn how to convey expression, use different tools, and have fun at the same time.
Art is to be explored and enjoyed! Individual tuition is also available which is discussed beforehand and tailored to the needs of the student.

A special day tailored to bring out your artistic creative juices on the beautiful inspirational Burgh Island.
Small groups ensure lots of individual attention in a relaxed and stunning environment on location at Burgh Island’s beauty spots during good weather or based in the hotel. The island’s unique magic is inspiring throughout all the seasons.
Some materials, coffee and cream tea will be included and will be served in the Burgh Island Hotel.
Island Artist Emma Carter Bromfield will not only help you create a wonderful work of art to take home but will keep you entertained with stories of her 43 year span of island life, island legends, and life as an artist.
Students welcome of all abilities, from beginner to advanced.
Individual Island Artist tuition sessions are also available.
